Covid Christmas

I don’t want to put a dampener on your festive season, but the reality is, as much as we might like it to be otherwise, it’s not over. The virus is still abroad, even in Oz, laying low perhaps, but planning an attack on our vulnerabilities should they show themselves. It is no respecter of our special days. It will see our celebrations as an opportunity to launch its second (or is it third?) wave.

So here are some Kiss Principles for Christmas. Keep it simple. Keep it small. Keep it safe. You can do it. You must do it. I believe there is such a thing as civic duty, applicable at times of war, pandemic, and similar.

Keep it sober? No need to go that far, unless you’re a designated driver.

Since you have taken these notions on board, or such is my hope, I shall take the opportunity to wish you the best of Christmases.
